sad / good day. megan & the kids are going to florida to spend time with family for the summer tomorrow morning – and then i’ll go meet them for the last two weeks in late july. megan and i have established a trend of this summer time respite over the last few years, and it’s always a very positive time for regrouping and completing projects, but it’s also always hard to see the family go. good for the kiddos to get to spend some time with the grandparents, and good for me to be able to focus all of my spare energy this summer on a project that’s been on the back-burner for a while now – should have a prototype *thing* done by end of summer – i’m saying that here in public, somebody hold me to it, also… somebody remind me to wear pants and eat food. i’ll be the one hunched over a soldering iron, and missing my family very much.
